Lindsay Lohan A Much Better Junky Than Actress

Now that Lindsay Lohan’s publicity stunt of hosting Saturday Night Live is over,
can we please stop pretending that she is anything other than a punchline?

I’ve seen hubcaps that have more acting ability than this woman.
To refer to her as an actress is a complete insult to the profession.
She should stick to snorting lines instead of trying to remember them.

By all outward appearances, she seems to be a much better junky than actress.

A lot of actors and actresses bust their ass to perfect their craft.
They respect the art. The live and breathe it. They practice.
They study the greats. They dream of simply earning an opportunity to
prove themselves. Sadly, they are the ones we rarely see or hear from.
They are busy working odd jobs making little pay to live from day to day,
while Hollyweird passes them by for cheap, bottom of the barrel train wrecks.

As with today’s music industry, talent is simply not that important.
It is no longer a necessity to deliver quality.. In fact, I’m starting to think
that having heart, passion and talent actually works against you in the entertainment industry.
You ask why? Because we are stoopid.

We have been force-fed low grade bullshit for so long, that we simply accept it now. From politics to entertainment.
Not only do we accept it, we fuckin’ love it!
We are fascinated with the Snookies of the world and consider computers a musical instrument.
When we have no expectations, we become satisfied with shit.
(SEE Nicki Minaj and Linday Lohan.)

Hollywood tries their damnedest to turn crack whores into relevant celebrities.
And with TV shows and websites like Nancy Grace, Dr. Drew and TMZ, they succeed.

The TV industry is a lot like the music industry now. Overpopulated with mediocre talent.
While real talent takes a backseat to the mainstream, reality stars and karaoke singers have
become America’s Xanax. A quick fix. Sadly, our society is eating it up…like pacman eating up all the shit pellets that
Hollywood squirts out. We can’t seem to get enough.

When Did High School kids Become Such Chicken-shit Little Fuckers?

When did high school kids become such chicken-shit little fuckers?

This morning, there was yet again, another horrific and cowardly school shooting.
This time, at Chardon High School in Chardon, Ohio.

Cleveland television station WKYC is reporting that
at least four students were injured during the shooting
that took place around 7:30am this morning in the cafeteria.
Police say the shooter was a student.

Sixteen-year-old Daniel Parmertor died as a result of the shooting.
Russell King Jr., 17, was flown to Cleveland’s MetroHealth Medical Center
where he was treated but pronounced brain dead on Monday, NBC News reported.

I used to love the cafeteria. It was the one place in school I
could let my guard down and relax. Enjoy some slop and a carton of warm milk.
Talk with my friends about girls and stare at the cool table and wonder
why the hell wasn’t I sitting at it? Shooting people while they eat and socialize?
What a shit thing to do .. and even shittier place to do it.
Like shooting fish in a barrel. So innocent & vulnerable. What a coward.

I understand a lot of kids have deep psychological issues
that stem from numerous situations. Who knows what “triggers”
a kid to throw a firearm in their book bag and play Call of Duty
with real people – turning innocent teachers and fellow classmates in to victims.

The story almost always ends up revolving around
some white male between 14-18 years old. Some shy, pathetic, weak soul
who has been picked on, abused, or some confused fragile little flower whose parents
didn’t hug him enough. Maybe even all of the above.

The things is, there are SO MANY kids feeling that way.
It’s normal at some point to feel those things growing up.
It’s not what you are feeling that defines you.
It’s how you deal with those feelings that define you as a human being.
Life is all about dealing with shit.
To use an over-used cliche, what do you do when life throws you a lemon?

What ever this idiot was feeling this morning when he woke up,
I’m willing to bet there were 10 – 20 other kids at the same school
feeling the exact same pressure, the same confusion and the same whatever.
The difference is, they didn’t bring a gun to school.
They found other ways to deal with their shit.
Not this kid. He decided to play God.

In our day, a kid would get pissed and throw his desk at the teacher.
Now, these little bitch ass cowards are packing heat. Killing innocent people
because of their inability to deal with their emotions.
So who is at fault? The parents? The schools? The bullies? Clay Aiken? Slayer?
No. It’s the dipshit who is smoking people in the lunch line.
It ends there. With the shooter.

I have no tolerance for this crap.
If you bring a gun to school and shoot people,
you should be executed. 9 times out of 10, the shooter is usually shot and killed
or he does the world a favor and shoots himself. But if for some reason, the shooter survives?
He should be … suspended… from breathing. Legally of course.

He should be stretched out on a table and pumped full of juicy chemicals that cook his
arteries. While having to wear a dunce cap of course, so the rest of us can point and laugh.

Houston…We Have A Problem

It’s always tragic when someone who has been blessed with such talent and promise ends up dissolving into a pathetic cliche.

Singer Whitney Houston died yesterday February 11, 2012. Though the cause of death has yet to be determined, I cannot help but speculate, given her well publicized past, that the 48 year old Houston, who some are calling “the greatest singer to ever grace the planet”, sadly allowed drugs and / or alcohol to contribute to her untimely demise.

In no way should we, as a society, allow her demons to overshadow her contributions and accomplishments as an artist.

But unfortunately we will. It’s just how we are.

We love to glorify drug addicts and train wrecks. The only thing we love to glorify more … are famous drug addicts and famous train wrecks…
And the only thing we love more than THAT? Dead famous drug addicts and dead famous train wrecks.

Tonight is the Grammy Awards. No doubt there will be a lot of people paying their respects to Ms. Houston. I only hope those praising her tonight, do so with extreme caution and use good judgement. Focus on the good, but Let’s not ignore her demons. What message will we be sending our children by glorifying such a troubled soul? Lets not hold her up TOO high.

When we praise her for her powerful and angelic voice and her artistic accomplishments, lets be sure to remind people that a majority of her success was earned as a younger and wiser Whitney. A Whitney that wasnt ravaged and corrupted by drugs and alcohol. Lets remind the children that her downfall only began when she lost control of her life and allowed her disease to sabotoge her entire life. We owe that to the new crop of pop stars. Maybe they can learn from this tragedy. More than that, we owe that to the children. After all, they are the future. Lead them well and let them lead the way.
